Puri - one of the Char Dhaams, is a beautiful coastal district on the eastern part of Odisha also famous as Jagannath Puri. Puri is one of the main attraction for global tourism for famous Shri Jagannath Temple, Puri Beach and Konark Sun Temple – the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Puri has different names like Shri Jagannath Puri, Purusottama Puri and the Abode of Lord Jagannath. Jagannath Rath yatra- a yearly festival in Puri is also very famous in the world. In this festival, Lord Jagannath along with his elder brother Lord Balram and sister Subhadra Maharani comes out of the temple for a break and proceeds towards Gundicha Temple in their grand chariots to enjoy vacation in his Aunt's house for 10 days.
